IRATA Rope Access Training
IRATA Level-1
The IRATA Level 1 course is the internationally recognized entry-level qualification for individuals seeking a career in industrial rope access. Designed for beginners with little or no previous rope access experience, this course provides the knowledge and practical skills required to work safely at height using rope access techniques under the supervision of an IRATA Level 3 Supervisor.
During the training, candidates learn equipment inspection, rope ascending and descending, changeovers, re-belays, deviations, basic rigging, work positioning, and fundamental rescue techniques. The course combines classroom theory with intensive practical exercises, ensuring participants gain confidence in operating safely and efficiently in industrial environments.
Upon successful completion of the training and independent assessment, candidates receive the IRATA Level 1 certification, enabling them to work in industries such as oil & gas, construction, renewable energy, telecommunications, inspection, maintenance, and offshore operations worldwide.
